These starter stencils from Mudpuppy are a great introduction to tracing and drawing for the preschool set. The stencil cards are made from extra-durable greyboard and are a perfect introduction to tracing and drawing.

Each set contains ten stencil cards that are ready to use straight out of the hinged tin container.

Carolyn Gavin illustrated the flowers, butterflies, gardening tools, and sun, moon and star stencils. Steve Mack illustrated the barnyard scene: cow, hen and eggs, goat, sheep, pig, horse, cat and mice, barn, tractor, and some produce. Ty Wilkins assembled the robots, dials, switches, and tools for this robot brigade.

The All Around the World stencils would be great en route to visit the iconic symbols of far-off places. Represented are the Eiffel Tower and hot air balloon, the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, a windmill, tulip, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Taj Majal, a pagoda, and assorted clouds, trees, and travel symbols, all illustrated by Maris Seguin.

The Pirates Ahoy set includes a band of scurvy pirates, skull and crossbones, a sailing ship, and much more.

In August 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) was signed into law in the US. The Act requires manufacturers of children’s products to test and certify their products to ensure they meet specific safety standards. It also requires manufacturers to comply with all CPSC regulations, employ third-party testing to ensure products have no harmful components, and label items with place of origin and batch numbers.

Mudpuppy assures consumers that they are in compliance with those regulations. They have tests for all products in their warehouse showing that they meet CE and ASTM standards, including those for lead content. They have been testing for lead for several years, and can assure customers that they are compliant with the 2008 regulations.

Mudpuppy products have been completely phthalate-free since 2007.
